Meet regional children’s book authors ~ Craft with your favorite Children’s Librarian ~ Celebrate Free Comic Book Day with Ogre’s Grove Comics & Collectibles ~ Hear a live story time with an author or a Very Important Reader ~ Ride the Milton Memorial Park train ~ Check out the interactive programs at the Milton Historical Society ~ Get a picture with your favorite book characters ~ Enjoy a LIVE literary musical performance for children at the Milton Theatre at 1:30 PM!

 

Saturday, May 18, 2019: Gaithersburg Book Festival (MD)

I’ll be signing at the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators MD/DE/WV Booth from 2pm-6pm. Stop by and pick up a signed copy of She Spoke: 14 Women Who Raised Their Voices and Changed the World, Nita’s First Signs, Little Hands and Big Hands: Children and Adults Signing Together, Sword and Verse, or Dagger and Coin! All proceeds from sales of my books benefit Deaf Camps, Inc.’s scholarship fund.

 

Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11 AM: Let’s Sign Together! (for all ages) at Mary Riley Styles Public Library (Falls Church, VA)

Learn basic American Sign Language together in this interactive storytime for all ages. Flex your fingers and join in the fun! Kathy MacMillan, author of Nita’s First Signs, leads stories, songs, and more as we learn about communicating with our hands and eyes.
